Licensed Structural Engineer
The Licensed Structural Engineer Examination is offered twice a year in April and October. Applicants are required to apply to the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation prior to scheduling the examination with Continental Testing Services. The IDFPR application is available at www.idfpr.com. Please select the Agency Link, Professional Regulation; select your profession, Structural Engineer; select the written examination and download the application for the Structural Engineer exam. Please submit the application to IDFPR with the requested documentation in order to be approved for examination. Once you have been approved by IDFPR you can apply to schedule examination using the online application process listed below. The dates listed below are the Continental Testing Services Examination dates and Deadlines. Please note that IDFPR does have their own application deadline dates.
NOTE ALL APPLICATIONS ARE VALID FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARS. YOU MUST COMPLETE A FULL APPLICATION WITH ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION UPON APPLICATION EXPIRATION!
All fees are subject to change based on NCESS Board Examination expense.

Please note the examinations are always on a Friday and Saturday. The Fundamentals exam is always on the second examination day (Saturday). The Structural I exam is always on Friday and the Structural II exam is always on Saturday.
